Top 3 Store Loyalty Cards

Conscious shopping is almost second nature to some people. But not to everyone.

Those of us who look to save as much money as possible when shopping go to great lengths sometimes to make that happen:

  • We send emails to companies to ask for available coupons;
  • We clip printable coupons;
  • We search for store coupons;
  • We buy in bulk.
  • We plan our shopping;
  • We make an effort to stick to basics;
  • And we’re always on the lookout for deals.

All of the above is tantamount to torture sometimes because it requires not only time, but so much effort as well. Sometimes you feel like taking a break from all that and just go with whatever you find in store.

You can still however make the most of your savings when you shop with store advantage cards. Some people have up to 10 store cards in their wallet, and you know why? It’s not just that they fit into the wallet nicely, but they’re easy to use and include additional rewards only available for store members.

Here are three store fidelity cards that are actually going to serve you well.

#Target

The Target RedCard is a valuable asset to anyone who shops here frequently. The card saves customers 5 percent every time they shop either in store or online. It doesn’t cost anything, meaning it’s a free membership deal, and it has the great advantage of instant “cashback.”

The Target RedCard is probably the least complicated program to reward customers, and that is because it doesn’t ask shoppers to buy specific products, it doesn’t assume any points collection, and it applies to sale items and markdowns too.

#CVS

The CVS card. Signing up for a CVS card means shoppers are able to collect ExtraBucks, a feature of the ExtraCare Rewards program that the pharmacy enrolls. As club members, customers also receive instant discounts from CVS on select items and are notified via email about future deals.

Other benefits include discounted member prices and the possibility to scan the card once a day at the ExtraCare Coupon Center inside every CVS pharmacy to have coupons printed out instantly. In addition, the pharmacy sends out personalized coupons based on what customers usually buy, which is great.

#Walgreens

The Walgreens Balance Reward Card earns shoppers “Rewards Points” when buying select products. Customers can then redeem the points as dollar credit for purchases.

Usually, the pharmacy includes “Balance Rewards Points” items in the Walgreens weekly ad, and they’ll have a balance rewards label attached to them so you’ll know how many points you earn each time you buy specific items.

An additional benefit is that customers can use manufacturers’ coupons with purchases and still earn points, which amounts to more savings. Moreover, Walgreens doesn’t limit the number of times you receive points from the same promotion except otherwise noted.

The thing that you should be taking into consideration whenever you apply for a loyalty card is your privacy. Retailers will store information to give you a more personalized shopping experience, but they’re also going to use that information to their advantage. So before anything else, make sure you’ll actually profit from using these programs.
