Many stores usually close for Easter, however not all, so if you forget an ingredient for the holiday brunch or some unexpected turn of events calls for a last-minute trip to the store, here’s where you can go shopping.

- The following grocery stores are open on Easter Sunday:
Albertson’s is open 6am to 10pm (store hours dependant on location).
Cost Plus World Market is open 10am to 5pm.
Kroger is open 6am to 10 pm (store hours may vary by location).
Save-Mart is open 8am to 4pm (limited hours because of the holiday).
ShopRite is open 6am to 10pm (store hours may vary by location).
Trader Joe’s is open 8am to 9pm (varying store hours dependant on location).
Whole Foods: open 7am to 11pm (store hours may vary by location).
You won’t be able to shop at ALDI, Costco or Vons as these chains will keep all locations throughout the country closed on Easter.

Just to be on the safe side, maybe call ahead to confirm because locations within stores might be operating with limited hours.
CVS is open on Easter Sunday 24 hours, although some locations may be open with limited hours of operation.
Rite Aid is open from 8am to 10pm, with some store hours depending on location.
Walgreens is open on Easter Sunday from 8am to 10pm (store hours dependant on location).
If you’re not celebrating Easter and would like to spend the day shopping for various items, you can do so at the following home and clothing stores that will open on Sunday.
Bed Bath & Beyond is open 10am to 6pm (store hours may vary by location).
Kmart is open 9am to 9pm (store hours may vary by location).
Old Navy is open 10am to 9pm (store hours may vary by location).
Sears is open 11am to 6pm (store hours may vary by location).
Sephora is open 11am to 7pm (store hours may vary by location).
Ulta is open 11am to 6pm (some locations may be closed).
Walmart is open 24 hours, with some locations open with limited hours.
Stores that will not open for business on Easter include Best Buy, Kohl’s, JCPenney, Michaels, Sam’s Club, T. J. Maxx and Burlington.
- IKEA will have different opening hours.
Although the chain will close on Easter Sunday, they will open stores as usual on Friday and Saturday, and will open on Easter Monday with limited hours.
Most IKEA stores will be open 8am to 8pm on Monday and you can check the opening times at your nearest location on their website with Store locator option.
Also note that most convenience stores are open on Easter with many locations open 24 hours. Some liquor stores may be open too, however not in areas where state law prohibits sales of alcoholic beverages on April 1.
