Giant Food features regular deals, such as weekly offers and paper and digital coupons. Plus, you can also benefit from flexible rewards when you join the loyalty program, which means you can earn points whenever you shop at this retailer. However, if you’re new to Giant Food or the digital coupons it offers, here is a guide to help you take advantage of these offers.

Create an Online Account

Giant Food features a rich selection of products, including groceries, cleaning products, office supplies, as well as beauty items, to name a few. Given the many regularly available digital coupons at this retailer, you can get select products at lower prices if you use them.

However, as is the case with many other retailers, to be able to access and use digital coupons at Giant Food, you will need to create an online account or sign in if you already have one. Plus, a valid, active Giant Card is required to participate in the Digital Coupon program.

Creating an account is simple and straightforward. On the retailer’s website, just go to the “Sign in” icon in the header, then select “Create Account,” and enter the required information. If you want to create an account within the Giant Food app, you will have to go to “More” in the bottom navigation menu and select “Create an Account.”

Your Giant Card number is required to get started. If you don’t know this number, contact Customer Service. In case you don’t have such a card, you can create one in-store or online. If you apply for such a card in-store, you will have to use it once to activate it in the retailer’s system, and then after 24 hours, you can create an online account and load coupons.

For a more convenient shopping experience, you can also download the Giant Food app. The app is available for both Android and iOS devices, and you can get it from Apple Store or Play Store. The app is designed in such a way to make it easy for you to shop weekly ads, clip digital coupons, earn 1 Giant Flexible Rewards point for every $1 spent online or in-store, redeem the points you’ve earned, and so on.

How to View, Load, and Redeem Digital Coupons

Once you’ve created an online account and signed in, you can view the available coupons by going to the Coupons section under the main menu or to Savings and then to Coupons. At the time of writing, there were 165 coupons available.

To make it easier for you to see if the products you need are included in these offers, the website features various filters so that you can sort the coupons by brand, value, or product category. You might want to check this section before your every shopping session since digital coupons are updated weekly. You can thus benefit from the latest savings.

Plus, to learn more about the details of a specific coupon, just click on it, and you will find out more about its terms and conditions.

To load the coupons of interest to your Giant Card, simply click the “Clip Coupon” button to load them to your Giant Card. It usually takes 10 minutes or so for the coupons you’ve clipped to be available for use.

In order to see all the digital coupons you’ve clipped, go to the “offers” or “savings” page. Next to the Digital Coupons heading, there should be a “view loaded coupons” icon. Click on it and you will be redirected to a page that features all the digital coupons you’ve clipped. In case you’re using the mobile app, the “loaded” checkmark icon is located in the top right corner.

The coupons you’ve loaded cannot be manually removed from your card. However, they will be removed after you redeem them or they reach their expiration date.

The digital coupons you’ve clipped and loaded to your Giant Card will be deducted from your purchase at checkout only after the cashier presses the total key on the cash register. To see if a digital coupon has been deducted, check your receipt. The discount should appear immediately following the qualifying product as “personal disc.” In case you’ve loaded digital coupons that apply to the entire purchase, they will be listed at the end of the receipt.

Digital Coupon Limits

Digital coupons cover a rich selection of products, and they can help your savings add up significantly, so using them is a smart habit if you want to get the products you need without paying the full price.

However, terms and conditions apply, so make sure to read the retailer’s coupon policy carefully to understand the dos and don’ts of digital coupons. You will find this section located at the bottom of the Giant Food website. Click on it, then go to Policies & Practices and select Coupon Policy.

For example, you can only load and redeem each coupon once. Even if a coupon is featured in the retailer’s weekly circular, all digital coupons can be used only once. What’s great is that there’s no limit regarding how many coupons you can load to your card. The only limit is given by the number of coupons available at the time of your purchase.

Make sure that you check the coupon’s details to see when it expires. This date is displayed on each digital coupon. Keep in mind that digital coupons don’t double and cannot be combined with paper manufacturer coupons for the same product.

In case you’re more into old-school shopping, Giant Food also accepts paper coupons, and since manufacturers continue to offer paper coupons through local newspapers, it shouldn’t be difficult for you to find such offers regularly.
