How to Save with Albertsons Digital Coupons

Albertsons is one of the leading grocery and drug retailers in the U.S., offering a rich selection of products that range from fresh produce to nutritional items and personal care. Thanks to the regular deals offered, you can stock up on the items you need without paying the full price.

However, a first-time shopper or someone who isn’t too familiar with this retailer might not be aware of the many ways that one can use to save more money when shopping at Albertsons. To give you a helping hand, we have highlighted below how to get Albertsons digital coupons and other shopping hacks that will help you make the most of your next shopping session.

Create an Albertsons Account

To benefit from sales, special prices, coupons, and deals offered at Albertsons, you’ll need to create an account. When visiting the store’s website, Albertsons.com, you will see that if you want to clip a coupon, you will be asked to sign in to be able to do that. Registering for an account is simple, and if you do that in the store, you will receive a card.

However, you don’t have to carry the card with you every time you shop at this retailer as it’s enough to provide them with your phone number. Make sure that the card is linked to your online account or app in order to load offers and benefit from digital deals.

Albertsons just for U program & App

If you intend to shop regularly at Albertsons, the first thing you might want to do is sign up for the store’s just for U program and download the Albertsons app. The ‘just for U’ program will help you earn points every time you shop. These points will then turn into free products and high-value coupons. Moreover, you will also receive coupons based on your purchase history.

This program works as follows: for every dollar you spend, you earn one point. Now, when you have earned 100 points, which means you have spent $100, you will receive a “reward.” These rewards are laid out in levels, and for each reward, you have various options to choose from when it comes to the savings featured by that reward.

For example, you can choose between free pasta/avocado, a $1 off coupon for select products, and $1 off next time you purchase groceries. Rewards should be used within a month from the moment you earned them. Plus, you can also use your rewards to save on fuel. In this case, when you spend $100, you earn 1 reward, which will get you $0.10 off per gallon at participating gas stations.

The app will not only make shopping more convenient but also more affordable as it can get you up to $300 in weekly discounts. You can use it to clip coupons, register to earn Gas Rewards at participating stations, browse the weekly ads, and sort the offers available based on your needs and preferences.

Albertsons Digital and Paper Coupons

In order to enable all of its customers to save, Albertsons offers both paper and digital coupons. In case you have an old-school approach to couponing, you can find coupons in the store’s weekly ad and the Sunday newspaper.

Once you’ve found the ones of interest, simply clip them, take them with you when shopping in-store, and show them to the cashier at the time of the purchase transaction. If you’ve embraced the digital way of shopping, you can easily clip the coupons of interest and load them to your Albertsons app.

Plus, the retailer accepts Internet printed coupons that can be scanned at checkout. Such printed coupons must have serial numbers and follow an industry-standard format. In case you go for manufacturer internet printed coupons, make sure they clearly indicate that they are a manufacturer coupon and have a valid manufacturer address.

Many shoppers find it difficult to tell the difference between store coupons and manufacturer coupons, but it seems that a store coupon says “Personalized Deal” when you tap on the full digital coupon offer in the Albertsons app. In a manufacturer coupon’s case, it says “Coupon Center.” Additionally, read the fine print on the coupon, and if you see a physical address for the manufacturer listed, then you’ll know that it’s a manufacturer coupon.

What’s great is that you can stack store coupons, manufacturer coupons, and sale prices. Make sure you read the coupon policy carefully to know how you can benefit from the coupons you have. For example, the store does not accept “free product” internet printed manufacturer coupons or competitor’s coupons. Still, some stores may offer “double couponing.” Plus, check if the Albertsons store in your area offers rainchecks.

The retailer doesn’t accept paper coupons for a curbside pickup or delivery order, but it does allow you to apply just for U coupons to such orders. All you have to do once you’ve found the just for U coupons of interest is add them to your account inside the Albertsons app and then add products to your online cart. The coupons will come off the total when you place the order.

What to Do When just for U Coupons Don’t Update

Sometimes, the app might not update the latest weekly coupons. Even if this rarely happens, when it does, it can prevent you from saving on the items eligible for a discounted price. One of the easiest things to do is to refresh the page you’re on. In case that doesn’t work, go to “Settings” and tap the “Sync All” option. This typically solves the problem.

However, if you still can’t find the new weekly coupons, you can search by using the “Weekly Ad Coupons” category or item category. If you want to use the search box, you might have to try different entries to find the coupon of interest since sometimes they are not entered as we might think.

For example, if the coupon features several items, you might have to try entering one product name at a time. If you still can’t find it, ask for the cashier’s help or contact customer service.
