Target is the place to go whether you need new products for your home, fashion items, or beauty care. The store’s wide variety of products and frequent deals have turned it into one of the preferred retailers for many shoppers.

In order to help customers save, the store offers various deals, including free shipping. If you’re interested in how you can get your online orders delivered free of charge, here is more on what Target has to offer.

Free 2-Day Shipping

In case you don’t need the items you want to purchase immediately and you meet a few criteria that we will cover below, you can benefit from free 2-day shipping. What’s great is that hundreds of thousands of items qualify for this offer, so it shouldn’t be difficult to find the products you need included in this deal. Besides choosing eligible items, you will also have to spend $35 or more in order to get free 2-day shipping.

However, to make sure that the items you need are eligible, check the product detail page. Their eligibility should also be visible in the shopping cart and at checkout, though.

Still, exclusions and handling fees may apply. Plus, item eligibility and assortment will vary by market. They will also be determined by the location of the item and the destination ZIP code.

Even if the items you want to purchase don’t qualify for 2-day shipping, you can still benefit from free standard shipping. Target offers free standard shipping on orders of $35 or more or those placed using the Target RedCard. The difference lies in the time needed for the order to reach the destination. Standard shipping typically takes 3 to 5 business days. Make sure to check Target’s page for more on general delivery guidelines for 2-day shipping.

Free Shipping With Target RedCard

If you’re a regular shopper at Target or you intend to become one, it is worth considering the store’s RedCard program as it comes with various benefits. Besides the fact that you can save 5% regularly, you can also benefit from free shipping.

RedCard holders get free shipping on most items when shopping on Target.com using the RedCard. A minimum purchase threshold may apply, but considering the many advantages of this program and how much you can save in the long run, it is still worth taking into account.

Free Order Pickup

In case you don’t mind going to the store to pick up what you’ve ordered online, you might want to check Target’s pickup options. Order Pickup allows customers to order items in the Target app or on Target.com and pick them up for free at a local Target store.

To see if the items you need are eligible for this option, just check the product’s detail page. If it says Order Pickup, then you can add it to your cart knowing that you can pick it up at the Target store of choice. Such items are typically ready for pickup within 2 hours of placing your orders. However, restrictions apply.

To place an order that you can pick up at a Target store, just go to Target.com or open the Target app. Choose the items of interest, add them to your cart, and select the “Pick it up” or “Ship to store” option. The default store where you can pick up your order is your set store, but you can change it if needed. Just go to Edit Store and select the one you’re interested in.

Once you’ve done so, proceed to checkout and submit your order. You will be notified via email when the order is ready for pickup. This email should also include details regarding the pickup location. To get your order, just visit the designated pickup location or the Guest Services at the store you’ve selected.

Free Drive-Up Pickup

Drive Up is similar to Order Pickup in that it allows you to order online and pick up the items you’ve purchased at a local Target store. However, the difference lies in the fact that your order will be brought to your car when you reach the store. Another difference between the two options is that Drive Up is available only on the Target app (iOS and Android).

Choosing this pickup method is a straightforward process. Just add the items you want to purchase to you cart in the app and then select Drive Up as your delivery method if it is available at the store of interest. Once you’ve taken these steps, you can then place your order.

You will receive a notification via email and app letting you know when the order is ready for pickup. To let the store know that you’re on your way, select “Tell us you’re coming” in the app and then “I’m on my way.”

For Drive Up, there should be a designated parking spot. Once you’ve parked, select the “I’m here” option in the app and enter the parking stall number. When the Target member brings your order, you will have to show them the four digit code in your Target app in order to confirm the order.
